AITA for telling men I have a boyfriend instead of a girlfriend to get them to leave me alone?

my dad never really instilled any sexist courting tactics into me when i was young. my parents had their problems, and divorced amicably, but had no trouble showing me they considered each other their equal. seeing how some men treated my mother in public once she was single, and then how they treated my little sisters, gave me an automatic distrust for most dude's intentions for the women in my life.

there's a lot of genuinely good men out there, but you can't tell them from adam at first contact. quoting that other comment, it's definitely a loaded gun scenario

[now most of my friends are women and queer men, lol. i have like one close straight male friend, and that's it.]
