This happened to a friend of mine, Jessica, when she was 17. Her mum had twins. What a fun and joyous occasion.

Except Jessica’s older brother Patrick moved out of the house, so the only one around to help the Mom other than the dad who worked all the time was Jessica.

Since I could drive, Jessica would come hang out at my house, or anyone else’s house, until curfew. She would go home, and then another friend would pick her up at 5:30 so she could go to school and repeat. She did this for the last two years of high school because her mother would drop the kids in her lap and not do anything for them and till 10 pm when the dad got home.
