All but one of my friends lives at home still because the housing market and rent prices are so crazy. We're all around 25-30 years old. I'd still be renting with my fiancé if his uncle hadn't sold his house to us through their families llc so they set the price and our interest rate and made it super affordable for us. My friend who owns her own home also threw herself a baby shower, but she didn't have many people who were able to for her and she definitely needed the shower and gifts. My fiancé and I got lucky with our careers. He works as a lab manager and makes very good money. I started my own dog grooming and boarding business and do well for myself. We threw the party for ourselves so nobody else had to host/plan/pay for one especially considering we didn't ask for any gifts.
