AITA for telling my future SIL her baby is ugly?

I have gone through really awkward conversations with people I'm not super duper close with, and it's my own doing. It's this weird thing i can't seem to grow out of no matter how old i get. Basically i get social anxiety because i want people to find me charming or interesting, and i can only see after the adrenaline has died down and I'm with safe people again, how truly cringe i was.

My suspicion is that she suffers from that awful anxiety character pitfall. To you it seemed like she was forcefully pushing her kid on you and into every picture. To her, she probably thought she was being funny, and when people took the baby for pictures, she felt like she was connecting. Thus, reinforcing that she was doing something right.

Surely you've noticed that she's gotten under your skin before. This isn't the first time.

Kind people recognize that this is the other person's oddity and find a work around. Like your family does with you for whatever gets under their skin.

Kind options might be: baby would totally make the picture better, but i also want some with just me and mom. Baby looks super happy in his jumper, but i think we're going to take a few adult only pictures... Or even -- (kind chuckle) No it's ok. Let's give baby a rest while we do these next pairings. Thank you for offering though.
