AITA for telling my daughter I don't like her?

YTA. My mom once found a cigarette butt at the bottom of the stairs going up to the upper floor where only I had a room, and she was adamant that my friend and I had been smoking in my room, she didn't smell anything, but apparently we'd had the balcony door open, so we must be guilty. My friend's parents smoked, so her reasoning was that my friend had brought the cigarette with her.

When my dad came home, he admitted that the cigarette was his. He'd claimed he'd quit smoking, but he'd started again, trying to keep it a secret. So my mom gave me a half-assed apology, but I stayed in my room and refused to come down for dinner because she'd treated me so badly (and she'd never done anything like it before or after). It's been over 30 years and I'm still feeling salty about it. I can only imagine how your daughter must be feeling since she already feels like you love her less than her sister.
