AITA for trying to get my girls interested in my hobbies/interests instead of getting into theirs?

Parents don’t always do things with their children for their own enjoyment. I don’t know what is so hard for you to understand about that. My mom didn’t particularly enjoy the 2012 Justin Bieber movie lmfao. You know what she did enjoy? She enjoyed watching my sister and I’s faces light up and listening to us sing shitty pop songs on the way home in our horrible singing voices. My dad and brother (who was 17 and more mature than you might I add) used to come and visit the “restaurant” my sister and I set up in the basement of our house and eat very questionable food we’d made just to see us laugh and have fun.

Does watching your children enjoy activities you wouldn’t do on your own not make doing those activities worth it?
