Husband has admitted to being the asshole. Admitted to having his ego hurt. Admitted to not thinking before acting. Admitted to gaslighting, although he says he didn’t mean to, recognizes he was protecting his fragile masculinity.

I admitted to name calling (called him a miserable asshole when he came in looking amused). He has agreed to couples counseling- a lot of these comments were incredibly enlightening and I do think I’ve missed some red flags lately. He been mean in situations where is usually the calm, cool, collected one. Because of this, he has agreed to individual counseling as well. I don’t think I would have been able to articulate all of the reasons this infuriated me had it not been for all the comments here.
