AITA if I "cancel" Christmas because I can't afford it this year?

NTA

I can't stress this enough.

As a kid -Currently 23- I remember 2 times my parents were in a reallly tough spot.

They told us we would noy be getting christmas in December, but instead, christmas in july.

I DO NOT hold negative feelings because of it.

They tried their best, and all year round they provided for me.

Many kids will not have this outlook, but after growing up a bit, they should realise, priorities are just that, priorities.

Don't dwell on it for too long.

Hell there has been a few christmas's and birthdays where my "IOU" gift was never even received...

Once again, this doesn't phase me because bills are more important that a new toy.
