AITA started a new life

The way I see it, rights should come with responsibilities. I'm alright with a woman having full control over whether she has a child. But that right should also come with her taking the majority of the responsiblities should the man choose to not partake. After all, he has no choice in the matter.

Think about it. Men don't have much in terms of birth control. There are condoms, which can break, and vasectomies, which are permanent and somewhat dangerous. But as it is, there are no pills, patches, or IUD equivalents are available to Western men. Mistakes happen. A man could do everything right and still get her pregnant, after which he is at her mercy. And let's not even get started with men who are unfortunate enough to be raped by a women and she get's pregnant. Personally, I think it's really fucked up how there are men out there who are being forced to give their own rapist money every month for 18 years.

Hence, why I believe men should have a sort of "financial abortion." It's cruel to force another human being into borderline slavery because they had a bad stroke of luck. If a woman cannot take care of the child herself, she can always abort, or have it adopted. I believe in equality, not just for women, but for everyone.
