Akaadian: “Before I was in LCS, when I was little, I wanted to be a history teacher, and I was thinking of being a lawyer, but going back to school is not very attractive to me.”

Sure but that is a finite resource in my opinion. Every year I think it becomes harder and harder to get into the League of Legends streaming game. Also the pool of LCS players is far larger now especially if we include the challenger series. I see no reason that qtpie need worry about competition at any point in his League of Legends streaming career. He might get the occasionally overshadow by actual LCS events and super stars like Faker. But to me that is what signals the bar for new streaming talent. You want to be a pro streamer? You must be high challenger now. Gone are the days of trick2g types making it big. And then after you get to high challenger you must either have a killer personality or make it to the top of the LCS game as well.

I think individuals like Dyrus could not succeed if they were starting out today. Dyrus is my favorite pro ever. But I know his talent does not compare to the LCS world today. Its also clear that without Dyrus' long LCS career he would have no presence in the streaming world. But he has just enough LCS street cred to tip over the scale to being someone that can make a decent living streaming. But that is rare. Dyrus had perfect timing. Today you need perfect skill or personality and simply incredibly skill.
