[AL] can I respond to PIP with my comments/concerns about the accuracy of report?

Your daughter attempting suicide is so tragic. It seems incredibly disorganizing, and i imagine has cause an immeasurable sense of instability and anxiety. I’m so sorry you are going through this and i wish you and your family the best.

Trauma and anxiety cause forgetfulness, lack of structure, uncertainty, and disassociation - all of which are incredibly relevant to ones ability to function in a job setting.

You need to do what’s best for you and your family. If you desperately need that job and fear not being able to find employment elsewhere (in the worst case scenario) - i can understand the advice others give - in terms of not mentioning certain things or keeping things formal.

But if you have the flexibility - i would absolutely speak up for yourself. It’s not human to play the formal / corporate game and hide your experiences - it’s understandable that you’ve have a difficult time and any self respecting company, manager, or HR Department would want to know how difficult your situation is.

Of course companies have deadlines, requirements etc so there needs to be a standard but still - its not like you’re asking for much, stating that you feel there are inaccuracies in the report, acknowledging your situation, and acknowledging your commitment to the plan moving forward can all work together and communication is the first step.
