Alan Moore: Superhero Movies Have "Blighted Cinema” and are "Infantilizing the Population"

So this crusty old fuck thinks his opinion on superhero films is relevant even though he hasn’t watched any since the Tim Burton Batman era? Just because the films based on his comics didn’t have the impact of those of today, doesn’t mean everything else is just as bad. Marvel is running shit, bro. Gtfoh. DC is on the come up. Films are getting darker. Joker. The Batman. Birds of Prey and that ridiculously long unnecessary title. The Suicide Squad. Both Deadpool films. They’re not all for children. They’re also not made for old farts like this dude. Sure there’s a lot, but as long as there’s a demand for them, they’ll still be around for many years to come, unlike this old fogey. Times have changed and this guy is living in the past. The comic book world isn’t as in demand as it was back in the days of using hammer and chisel to put words on a tablet. The world is digital now. Get with the times, holmes.
