Alberta RCMP shooting a disturbing trend, says former B.C. police chief - British Columbia

The more guns we will have, the more these events will take place.

The only way for everyone to have the right to own guns while minimizing the risk of random shootings is to force every potential gun owner to undergo a lengthy psychological assessment process in order to keep dangerous people away from guns.

It would be both a long process and a very expensive process and it would end up punishing law abiding gun owners more than gun control laws would.

So for all those reasons, gun control laws are a lesser evil... Complete elimination of gun control laws would create here the same problems they have in the USA with their 14,000 gun deaths each year.

Owning a gun does not make you safer...

Gun culture profits only one group here, the firearm and ammunition manufacturers...

Guns cannot protect you against a despotic government.

Bad guys with guns almost always win against good guys with guns... Because they take them by surprise... Proof of that is the crazy number of police officers who got shot in the past decade...

If a cop cannot help himself not getting shot, what are your chances???

The money you spend on gun only serves to buy you a false sense of security... Chances are that you or someone in your family will be the victim of your gun.

Canada has become the best country in the world not despite its tough gun control laws but because of its tough gun laws!
