What? Red Bull gave Albon so, so many chances and always had his back in the media (perhaps learning from their mistakes with Gasly). It wasn't until right at the very end of the season that they gave up and started exploring options outside of their driver academy, and by that point it had been clear to everyone else for many months that Albon wasn't up to the task. Red Bull then got him a drive in DTM and have kept him actively involved with the F1 team, it baffles me how so many people think they treated him poorly.

Vandoorne is Mercedes' reserve driver and yet they had no intention of actually using him in that manner when the opportunity arose in Bahrain last year.
