[ALBUM DISCUSSION] LCD Soundsytem - American Dream

Yeah, a 5.5 minute song with not a single structural change throughout the entire track is not a "fucking beautiful song". It's boring, repetitive, and "builds" to nowhere. The bass line is good on this? What? It plays the same 4 bars for the entire song, and it's a total of 6 notes. There's literally 9 better bass lines on the album, which isn't even saying much.

"Sometimes it doesn't pay off the way you expect it to. Just like James' life". You realize they sold out the WORLD'S most famous arena, right? I'm pretty sure his life and musical career has turned out pretty fucking great. But right, we should feel bad for him. He's a 47 year old male getting an "emotional haircut".

How pretentious is it that you act like you know the guy personally? That should be the real question.

Your point about the drums... you mean using reverb and echo filters? WOW, GAME CHANGER!

It's clear you had a preconceived notion of how you want the album to be, and are grasping at straws to justify it. Your points don't make any sense. Your comment is the one that really misses the mark.
