State violence against the homeless is usually committed by heavily liberal city governments. Conservatives wouldn't handle a homeless "problem" any better, but the fact of the matter is that libs are either indifferent to or openly in favor of things like encampment sweeps and sit-lie laws. The mayor of San Francisco actually bragged about snitching on encampments. As a homeless person I truly hate these motherfuckers. Especially when they frame it as an effort to help us. And nobody gives a shit. There should be blockades at every encampment demolition. #StopTheSweeps should be the next #AbolishICE. At the very least there should be more efforts to push back against camping bans and shit.
