Some people will die but nothing insane. It’s a literally unsolveable problem anyway. Even if the US emitted zero, China, India and other countries in that area of the world will still be polluting. The Democrats know this but it’s an issue they can get votes on by making it sound cataclysmic and that Republicans are somehow blocking a fix when there really is no fix.

And even if you could somehow spend trillions to solve it, you’d save more life using those resources to bring clean water and vaccines to the third world instead. Technology is a good point and it will likely be those advances that help us eventually get carbon under control in the next few decades, not anything the Democrats are proposing.
