[Alien Franchise] Why both humans and synthetics are required on missions, and why David's model was really discontinued (spoilers) (double theory)

Ok, if we are not, then state how your theory is falsifiable.

  • demonstrate another model from the same line as David which has zero capability to harm humans

  • demonstrate that Walter had some intent to harm or allow harm to come to a human

  • demonstrate a situation where Walter harmed himself that was not meant as a way to protect a human.

  • demonstrate that Weyland is an honest and straightforward company without a habit of covering up their mistakes

David's own creator showed that he was uncomfortable with the model after interacting with it for 5 minutes.

David's creator was uncomfortable with David due to his forwardness and provoking question.

(also, that's a sample size of what 12?)

Literally everyone in the movie.

absurd to me not to interpret that as a distress call.

A distress call usually calls for help. Just singing "Take me Home Country Road" is stretching it.

You haven't explained what the Cain analogy tells of David's character

It demonstrates a few things:

  • his relationship of rebellion with his creator

  • his lack of appropriate sacrifice (in the case of the self)

  • his relationship to Walter in terms of ethics

we are not seeing any of the models follow the 3 laws which is your whole damn point.

Except Walter. That's all I ever argued.

I'm arguing that they fixed it with Walter, but went with a different style with Ash. Perhaps Ash was more advanced and not needing those specific limitations.

Rather, you seem to be tailoring it to such a situation where it doesn't predict anything and can't be falsified.

You asked for falsifiable parameters, and I gave them.
