[ALL] Did LiS2 do Captain Spirit justice?

A large part of what I liked about Captain Spirit was the little hints of a plot that are embedded in the story. Letters to do with his mother and the whole Mantroid name came from the name of the two roads where the mother was killed by another driver. I was a bit disappointed that it went nowhere.

The other things I liked was that it had that same nostalgia atmosphere as S1 and the music really fit that theme. I liked the dad too with his flaws. S2E2 didn't really seem to do much with the characters, yet they based the actual episode around them to some extent, with them forcing you to go to the market to buy the Christmas tree. My game bugged out there so Chris and the dad disappeared shortly after we arrived, but I heard there wasn't much interaction anyway.

I think they didn't originally plan to have the market scene in but they might have added it because people liked Captain Spirit. It seemed like the glitchiest part of the episode and it made the second least sense out of all the decisions Sean made so far, and they didn't really put much thought into it if you end up having to steal a yoyo. They want the cops to show up at the end so they make you go there.

I think the episode would have been better if they spent more time at Chris's house. Maybe the first area in the episode (where Mushroom died) could have been shorter to flesh out the part with Chris.
