All I see is this game sucks now because of an update, as a new player after the update will I enjoy it? Worth playing now?

The thing to consider with unhappy players is that a lot of us have been playing for years, have all the roster unlocked and geared out, all the team ups leveled, enough rare artifacts to at least pass the good ones around, all the vendors leveled and reputations ground, raids ran, etc.

The game has been out 4 years with content releases timed to keep people interested that long. Starting now, you have that content to look forward to.

The unhappiness for the most part comes from a lack of something rewarding to do for veteran players. New character releases stopped for a long time, and the last few weren't considered polished, with the long awaited Nick Fury release being more of a cut and paste than Taskmaster was (who released cheaper and as a suprise, with the cut and paste powers bring part of the gimmick) , a long promised Beast released seemingly begrudgingly years late, and a Black Bolt that was very undercooked. A lot of game modes never received updates or fixes (X-defense, holosim, danger room) to make them worthwhile compared to only running patrols when looking for gear upgrades, do the game is pretty montonous when you've done everything the game has to offer and played the same way for over a year straight.

That's the key, though, these are only problems for long term, really invested players. They are huge problems to be sure and responsible for the falling player count...however, for the most part, the game we spent years on is still there , minus unlimited dash powers and some niche builds on certain characters.

Oddly enough, it should actually be a good sign for a new player to start playing....
