To all the LGBTQ+ folks from Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Iceland.

From Norway here. I've never understood what anyone means by LGBT+ "community", it's not a community that I've ever been part of. To me it makes about as much sense as calling people using glasses part of the visually-impaired community. There may have been a distinction once but I don't see one here now, living in one of the bigger cities.

People don't seem to really care these days who you spend your life with or should want to sleep with, sexual orientation at least is a complete non-issue, little to no attention is given to it. We have several politicians and media personalities that are openly LGBT+ which is never brought up as a topic of discussion politically nor socially.

Naturally you've got your usual suspects in the religious crowd and a handful of extremists doing their thing but I've never encountered anyone who've given me a tough time about it, though I've heard of others with less luck than me that've had some shit thrown their way, figuratively.
