[All] Lust vs Love

Well, let's see.

On one hand there are chaotic five days of extreme circumstances including tornadoes, time paradoxes and murderous psychopath photographers, wherein, by the way, Chloe mainly cares about finding Rachel and also talks about her all the time. Like, all the time. And I know this because I vividly remember thinking to myself "will she stop talking about Rachel fucking Amber for five fucking minutes" throughout my first playthrough, because every time her and Max had a moment, Chloe would inevitably bring Rachel up. Which, at the time, was actually quite annoying, but in hindsight it seems that many of us didn't really listen to what Chloe actually has to say in the first game, and we projected our own fan-driven feelings onto her instead (I'm guilty of that myself).

On the other hand you have genuine human interaction between two girls that blooms into a relationship that would go on for a few years before ultimately flaming out which, at that age, most relationships do eventually. Yes, it's not the most earth-shattering love stories of our time, but at least it was actually real and not mostly based on fan fiction projections of what happens after one of the story endings.
