We can keep passing stats back and forth all day but the fact of the matter is that Kyrie got this selection and he didn't

That's fair, like I said they were very close. I wrote what I thought was a very reasonable reply that didn't take anything away from Kyrie and then you just replied by claiming Kyrie is better without offering any new evidence aside from your initial argument.

On passing It is worth clarifying that Kyrie is a very fine passer but Wall is a much better passer and his passes lead to more scoring production. Kyrie doesn't pass as much and the passes he makes are not as impactful by any available measure. He just doesn't create the same amount of production for his offense via passing. This isn't really disputable in a reasonable way. It would be like me arguing Wall is a better shooter.

He is the better player, he's just on a better team and doesn't have to do as much with his usage.

I just think that's a very poor argument. Kyrie had very similar production without Lebron when he was the clear leader of the team. He only takes one less shot a game this season and he and John Wall have the same usage percentage this season. You can't logically use use having good teammates to justify his level of production when he has had very similar levels of production across different years. The major difference in Kyrie's game is more efficiency this season in terms of shooting percentage. He is not restraining his production in any way. It's a very similar amount of production with improved efficiency.

In fact I think the "better team" argument if anything hurts Kyrie. Look at last year when he and Wall shot very similar 3p%. It's clear that adding Lebron and Love made his scoring much easier. I think the same situation you are using to argue that Kyrie simply has to do less(even though he does about the same amount as before) can be used to argue that Wall is the leader of his team, offensive creator, and primary scoring option on a team without the same talent level as the Cavs. I think that context helps his case.

To be clear I think Kyrie is of a similar caliber to Wall, and deserved his selection, but I just disagree with your reasoning for why Kyrie is flat out better. I think the argument is really about Kyrie's shooting and easier ability to score in crunch time. That to me is what he has over Wall and it is clearly a critical skill. They are really different players with entirely different strengths.
