Is it all over for me?

I know how bad this must feel. I was weirdly in the exact same situation before. Dropping out of uni, not paying my accommodation and racking up 2k in overdraft.

If it helps in anyway whatsoever, It was hugely scary at the time, but now I look back and see how much I’ve grown from it and it seems a distant memory.

The most important thing right now is your health. Get some help if you can and focus on self care. I know when you’re young it can feel like you know it all, but the only constant in life is change, and there’s still a whole lot to learn about yourself and what makes you happy.

When I was in your situation, I took a year out, worked in retail and paid off all my debts, and built up some confidence again. I reapplied to different universities in a less busy city, took a course that I was passionate about, and had the time of my life meeting some of the best people.

I now have a successful career at one of the biggest tech companies in the world, and I attribute it all to focussing on my mental health back then - and refoccussing on what makes you happy. Money can be difficult, but you’re clearly an intelligent person, and stepping back from the situation and not letting it paralyse you, you’ll be surprised at the adversity you can face.
