To all those saying Ohtani only played “half a season”: Shohei Ohtani appeared in 113 total games (pitching and hitting), two more than Ronald Acuna, the NL ROTY

I am biased being a Yankee fan, but as a baseball fan, I just disagree that Ohtani wins it (not even close) over Andujar. Miggy basically carried the offense for some time on a 100 win team in NY. Yes, his fielding was bad, but his offense was impressive as any rookie in Yankee history and that says a LOT. Ohtani, obviously a great player, had inferior batting stats, only pitched 50 innings (I say only because clearly that's a big factor in him winning ROY) and was on a bad team. In my eyes, Ohtani's "once in a generation" hype won him the award. I'm disappointed that it at least wasn't closer. I've had issues with baseball writers voting for a while now and for both Ohtani and Andujar to have 29 1st/2nd place votes, that means a writer for each left them out of the top 3 for the award...that's just abysmal..
