David Williams, Britain's Got Talent.

I went to college with this guy, actually, on an art and design course, I think back in '07 or '08. I was in the same class as him. For about a year. He's a nice chap, lovely lad, but... a little odd. We all liked him though. I remember the entire week before he was due to go onto BGT, he was talking to us excitedly about it, like he wouldn't shut the fuck up about it, we were all enthusiastic for him to go on the show though, wished him good luck etc.

And then, hahahaha, the funniest thing, he comes back to class for the first time since appearing, and he wouldn't talk about it. Not a word! Not a single thing to say. He was pallid and pale as a sheet. He kept moaning at us to shut up and got annoyed when we asked him about it. We were all like "WTF?? How did you get on, David?!" We wanted to know how he did, because he was so excited to go, and it was kind of a big deal for someone from our small-ish town to appear on UK TV like that. But we were told not to press the issue by our tutor. So we were like, "okay, whatever." And so we dropped it.

Then a few weeks later some of us see him on TV... I won't lie to you, we did laugh at it, because it was so ridiculous. But we didn't tease him about it. Last I checked he's doing alright, big fan of theatre and the performing arts, and I think he can see the funny side of it now.
