According to most stats, yeah. "Seriously large percentage" is not being used to say "nearly everyone" but your delusional comment sort of proves my point a bit. At one point last season, more than 40% of ranked players were either content creators or people playing for a chance to compete at a higher level and get into the SPL it was a highly dynamic year for the circuit. Discord servers were being taken down and new teams, new brackets, new divisions being made. It's not unheard of. Nearly any game that has a ranked multiplayer has a large chunk of players doing this. I am in a discord server with 8,000+ people and EVERY SINGLE ONE of us is either a content creator or is trying to go for SPL and EVERY SINGLE ONE of us plays nothing but ranked all day, every day. We even have LFG's for duos to team up and go do ranked together or for teams of 5 to team up and go practice builds and gods in casual conquest. It's quite a system!
