Allow singles to apply for a BTO flat from age 28 instead of 35: WP's Louis Chua

WP has been advocating this for a very long time. Their 2020 WP Plan presented during the elections also pushed for singles to apply for BTOs at age 28.

It’s not just a recent development or a brilliant idea that Louis Chua just had. It’s an ongoing problem faced by singles.

Frankly if a single person reading this is frustrated about the lack of housing, what can you do to change the situation?

Including younger single folks who are in your 20s.

Can you imagine waiting for your BTO flat and only getting it in your mid 40s? This is the sad reality. Not everyone wants to buy a resale, there are many life situations where one may not be in a position to buy a resale. Singles should not be forced into a corner.
