Almost 1/3 of Ramadan! How have you been going?

Alhamdulillah they are going awesome. I am meeting all of my first week goals, and I'm ready to start my second week goals. I prepared before Ramadan so I don't have any hunger pain issues.

I've not met missed one taraweh prayer (my Allah help me to meet all that in able to go to), which have made it easier to regulate my fard prayers and make the most of having khushu in them. Getting home at 12 AM after praying long rakats really makes it easier to focus and get more out of my regular prayers...which are a breath of fresh air in comparison lol.

I've made Iftar for my family many times, and I'm happy about making food for people to break their fast with! One day inshAllah I will be able to sponsor a night at the mosque.

I haven't contacted my ex outside of the first day around suhoor when I wished him a blessed Ramadan. I miss him a lot, but I make this dua "ya muqalibul qulubi thabat qalbi a la deenika."

I've been memorizing duas, and reading Quran. I'm really bad at memorizing, so I thought the duas will help ease me into getting better at memorization. My second week will be focusing a lot on Quran and making it a regular habit.

As for my dunya, I have a second interview for a job lined up today, I've lost 0.5 lbs, school is on the horizon (alhamdulillah that is truly by the qadr of Allah , and I thank Him for the opportunity everyday), I volunteer with a wonderful team, and I've revisited some old hobbies.

I am an entirely different person this year than last, and it's been many months work of preparation so that I can make the most of Ramadan. Out of every 5 thoughts, 3 are about my ex so I'm doing a lot more dhikr to stop thinking about him, and instead think about the Beloved.
