Almost there buddy... almost there

I think we all understand that yes eventually we'll make more if the minimum wage goes up, but there's alot of people who fear the time and the upheaval it would take to see that change. For example is the minimum goes up to 15 I can't just go to my boss and ask for a 7 dollar raise. There's fear that higher wage earners won't increase with a minimum wage hike. If there was some regulation that went with it to redistribute the wealth from the top tier executives back to the workers maybe you'd see everyone's wages jump and there would be some trust built but right now I've seen McDonald's and other fast food chains bump their wages with no effect on skilled labor because other companies "don't have the money to increase pay" so the workers just get disheartened and angry as the "unskilled" labor gets higher wages while theirs stagnate. My experience says most companies won't raise wages unless they can't hire anyone at a certain wage. Even then I'm experiencing an inability to hire, but my company won't pay us more or offer more to new hires. They likely won't pay more until we start leaving for higher wages, if even then.
