Alphabet Backs GitLab's Quest to Surpass Microsoft's GitHub

I would believe Microsoft had changed if they had actually quit with the anti-competitive tactics. But then you look at Edge and... no this is not even still the same Microsoft from 2000, this is Microsoft acting like they did back in the DR-DOS days -- scaring users with fake messages about how non-MS solutions are untrustworthy/dangerous/inadequate.

I mean I guess it's possible they really gave in and are just trying to survive, but I just don't buy it. Right now all we see is an ostensible embrace and now they are starting to extend by making a bash environment available on Windows.

If they start adding proprietary extensions to the WSL and encouraging people to target Linux applications for specifically WSL I'm gonna call it. If they do that then it will prove their intent is EEE and that will mean everything they have done to ingratiate themselves to the FL/OSS community as a whole is just so much manipulation.

Point is, we don't know for sure, but MS has a history here.
