Alright I have had it up to here with my deciding whether or not to get Pokken

IMO its not worth $60, heres why

  1. For a genre like pokemon to be adapted to a fighting game, you would think the roster would be amazing... its not... the lineup is very lackluster for a franchise that has over 800 characters.. and every time i played pokken, that was a constant reminder, even with the 2 dlc additions (also not worth $15) it still seems lacking of quantity. There only like 22 fighters in pokken when really it should be more like 40-50.

  2. I really didnt like the shifting of battle styles when battling.. it was not for me... and also too many things to memorize with each pokemon when you add in this type of thing.

  3. The backdrops in areas all looked bad imo. The pokemon models are great but then each arena just didnt have that type of feel that pokemon usually gives.. could have been better.

  4. Too many pokemon i DIDNT like fighting with.. i kept picking like 4 different ones, everyone else played weird for me.

  5. Also hated going into a CPU match everytime when looking for a aponent, with no way to turn this off... it gets old. Also online wasent bad matching but wasent great.

  6. Lack of story mode aside from an easy tournament style repetetiveness you can beat in less than 6 hours. Also final battle as well as entire "story" was very easy.

If this game were $20 i would say buy, but with the things ive listed i wouldent get for $60 (plus $15 for dlc) so $75... yeah no.

I put in 50 hours in pokken, and ended up selling a game i thought i would most def keep... it just always felt short of being good and i couldent justify the $60 i spent and wasent going to spend $15 more for two characters that frankly also could have been better.

NOW... I WILL SAY THAT POKKEN IS A PRETTY GOOD START FOR A NEW FRANCHISE.. POKKEN HAS BEEN OUT IN TOTAL FOR A WHILE... SO LETS HOPE A POKKEN 2 HAPPENS AND REALLY HITS IT HARD.
