Yes, higher ranked players shitting on you in comp will technically help you improve but you have to admit that the game would be so much better if they didn't existed.

There's a strong culture in fighting games that even the most newbies like to participate in tournaments with pro players because they know that's the best way to improve.

See, the newbies chose to participate. They didn't go in comp expecting a fair and balanced matched between 2 teams made out of players of similar rank only to get shit on by xxxButtSoup69xxx and his pocket mercy.

And even so, you've made your point only for diamond and above, which is what, 14% of the entire playerbase? What about the rest of them?
