This YouTube drama is pretty much the nail in the coffin for me. How long have we been hearing about this YouTube Community fighting back? Shit, just like Reddit, they can do whatever they fucking want. I don't see any shareholders, except advertisers. They don't like what's going on? Shit man if it was on my dime, I'd probably listen. Plenty of non-edgy teenage angst on YouTube to watch, with all these 6 figure partners and potential channels complaining.

"We should all band together with the BIG channels and make our own platform!" Yeah, you go and do that. See Imgur as an example and how shit it was the first few years, before they caved and now some of Reddit wants image linking to http://sli.mg/ and soon it'll be the rest of this entire site.

This is a long rant. Ugh, some of these people don't understand bandwidth and how much it actually costs. I shut down an entire hosting business around 2005, because I was hosting material larger than what they were capable of handling. I felt bad and had to bargain with them, to get my site back up. I and the members of the site didn't post Nazi flags a thousand times after negotiations were made.
