Why is the alt right so popular with atheists?

the worst part is that people think that they are being skeptical. every group wants you to think that they have the secret to what's causing society's problems, and with the internet its easy to get stuck in their echo chambers long enough to think that they actually do. and with youtube and reddit, the anonymity probably makes it easier for things that are seen as less socially acceptable (like atheism) to make little safe spaces. sometimes that probably just gets out of control.

odds are this has a lot of factors contributing to it, but its not going to get better (on youtube at least, not sure what its like here) as long as the culture in atheism revolves around bullying, strawmanning, misrepresenting and doxxing to silence the group outside the circlejerk.
