Alt-right rally in Boston cancelled after counter-protesters outnumber them 300 to 1

Yeah see my edit for more, I see that from another source.

But this just looks bad IMO. 15k people reacting to last week's events just prevented more a "traditional* conservative/alt right free speech rally.

I.E. 50 people showed up to hear some SUPPOSEDLY non-KKK, non-neo-nazis, talk. The event organizers said they wouldn't tolerate racism or bigotry; True or not, the 15k protestors basically made it impossible for them to hold their event and we'll never know if they would have stuck to those words. So now the alt right goes "See? Trump was right, there WERE two sides in Charlottesville; These people had no interest in allowing the rally to proceed peacefully. They intended to intimidate and silence."

Seems to me this overreaction did more for the alt right than allowing those 50 people to hear a couple loonies speak for 2 hours. Intended or not, this helps the alt right.

I suppose they were always going to spin it anyways, just as liberal news sources will spin this as an number example of how fed up we all are with the GOP/alt right/bigots/Trump/etc.

The reality? A lot of people are pissed off after last week and this was a seemingly perfect outlet to be seen and heard. Too bad that's not how most news is going to spin it.
