Round 1 of the 2015 Altador Cup shed some light on what we can expect to see from certain teams in this tournament. In the Alabriss Bracket, we saw sweeps all round -particularly pleasing for Maraqua who took down their traditional rivals Krawk Island.
The Minitheus Bracket leave us as many questions as we have answers. In the most closely fought tie of the round, Meridell took down the /r/neopets favourite Darigan Citadel, taking YYB and MSN. Virtupets beat Shenkuu to the YYB win, but were side swept in a tie that shares the points, while Faerieland proved that they were not only just cute, taking YYB and SOSD to get the win over perennial under-achievers Altador.
The Vaelous bracket is where things get interesting. If things were all well and good, we would be talking up Tyrannia's hopes after a massive win over Mystery Island. Terror Mountain all but swept Brightvale too, but the big talking point is Kiko Lake. It seems like there is no longer any doubt about an ACG joining them, with ridiculous scores all round, including a 27 in MSN. We wait and see if anyone can stop them.
