Anytime a woman wants me to meet their mom after a first date or something usually scares me. Especially being the introverted man that I am.

One time it happened when I was probably about 24 or 25. I met this gal, we met at a bar. We exchange numbers, met up one time, nearby where I live. We went bowling, then back to my place and had sex.

Next day, she told me she was telling her mom about me. And that her mom "Wants to meet the man who has been putting a smile on her daughter's face". I stopped talking to her.

Another time was a girl I went on a date with from work. Next damn day, her father apparently arrives in town, at the bar I frequent, and she's telling me he wants to meet me there. After one date! I declined, and didn't go to the bar.

Third time was a neighbor I dated. This woman was pretty batshit nuts though. As in she use to try to listen to whats going on in my apartment from outside my door by being quiet and pressing her ears on the door. I've opened my door to her twice after we stopped dating catching her in mid act, or hearing footsteps quickly fade away as I got closer to the door.

..hmm, I should of started with that one. Anyway, first day, she's telling her parents all about me. That one was difficult, as her parents and brother wanted to face time with me. I declined.

Last one I remember was a gal I met in downtown Boston. She weirdly invited me over to her place the day after we just met. (We only talked for like 3 minutes). I took the offer anyway, went to her place. We hung out that night, I went home -- lo and behold she told her parents about me. The. very. next. day. Like, everything about me. Parents wanted to talk to me on the phone. I declined.

I think it may be appropriate to meet your parents after there's been an established relationship going on -- not after just a date where things seem to be unclear.
