Socially awkward does not imply incompetence in law. Introversion does not imply incompetence in law. Even social anxiety does not necessarily imply incompetence in law.

Also, each of the 3 above, by themselves do not imply incompetence in communication. Because you can overcome your quirks, disinterest and/or fears in communication by simply application and dedication to your aim. The legal profession does not require you to be happy about talking to people or even grandstanding, because although those might be common qualities in lawyers, they are not strengths but weaknesses that other experienced lawyers can exploit. A thoughtful, unemotional, measured talker is harder to corner or mislead than a confident lawyer who isn't measuring his words. Please don't confuse extroversion with competence. Your peers might strut and dazzle each other in classes and friendly debates, but in court, facts and logic are supreme. IANAL, but I have seen a few instances of brimming confidence or "i know what I'm doing" confidence being taken down brutally by simple one-line arguments made about facts in a meek voice. The judge always matters, but meritorious arguments always win over confidence. Judges also do not like lawyers trying to become theatre actors - that is where confidence is useful, not in court.

So, focus on the arguments and principles, and mainly the facts.
