I am a 29-year-old high school dropout who makes upwards of $7,000 a month online and is currently traveling the world AMA (x post r/casualiama)

You don't seem to understand. I am not, in fact, earning money "in Thailand" I am earning money ONLINE. I do not work for any business in Thailand, I do not get paid in Thai currency, and no money flows through Thai banks (except for when I withdraw money from an ATM).

My clients pay me through PayPal or direct wire transfer to my AMERICAN bank account.

Are you saying that an American businessman taking a vacation in Thailand for three weeks and receiving paid benefits while on that vacation directly into his bank account is also in violation of law (which you are misinterpreting)? No, of course not.

Are you saying an American who is in Thailand and receives money from his/her family directly into their bank account while abroad is also in violation of the law you're misinterpreting? Again - no.

I am traveling, I work ONLINE and receive money from clients all over the world directly into my American bank accounts.

Again, there is nothing illegal about this in any country I visit and I cannot possibly be considered to be working IN that country because I do not actually work for any local businesses whatsoever as someone that is a freelancer.

edit: I see that you have deleted the content to try to hide. We really dont like people abusing Thailand like this William. FYI my wife works for a related government ministry in BKK and you will be investigated.

I didn't delete any content. I don't give a shit what your wife does - I am not in violation of any law lol.

What are you going to do? Walk up to literally every digital nomad throughout the whole of Thailand working on their laptops at a coffee shop and demand to see personal bank information of all their personal streams of income?

Are you going to go up to every single person who owns an online business traveling through any city in Thailand and demand that they leave simply because people pay for products and services from an online store?

You're fucking delusional.
