You think that ones bad... my Grandfather got a call from my brother's (his grandson's) number claiming to be his grandson in jail and could he please wire some money to bail him out.

My grandfather is EXTREMELY hard of hearing. Determining voice/accent is really hard for him.

He literally got saved by his own personality as he immediately ignored the imagined situation and started talking to him about various things they talk about all the time and the scammer completely couldn't hang and ended up hanging up on him... but still, scary shit.

I could totally see how many people his age would fall for something like that.
