Yeah, neither do I. If you don't like that group or meeting, try another area, or time, etc. I don't always like everyone or everything I hear, but this is what we have here for now. Honestly, I have worked the steps and tried hard and dove in head first, and felt a little violated which led me back to drinking many times. I will give you this warning, not everyone in AA is awake and there to help you. If you are ever uncomfortable, maybe come here and type something. I understand exactly what you mean, and almost have as many weird stories about the stuff I have done with people I have met in AA outside of AA or GA. I am not using soley AA, and if I am in a meeting I don't like, I will leave, and come here, or listen to some podcasts, or read, maybe play video games, call a friend or family member just to say hi. I am planning on working a lot, and trying to find one or two good meetings a week, and just take it easy. I don't have to fix everything, and never will. I can't make anything perfect in my life, and am trying to let other people be less than perfect.
