I am Andrew Bustamante, a former covert CIA intelligence officer and founder of the Everyday Espionage training platform. Ask me anything.

How can I practice everyday covert operations if I want a career in intelligence ? See Rule #1. THANKS ! Gets tinfoil..

Hi Andrew,

Standard Question: Do lie detectors work ? And is lie detecting an art or science or both ? What type of person makes a good liar ? i.e. A person could be a pathological liar but it doesn't make them experts since they are terrible at it. I always say that I tell the truth but I could just be bad at telling the truth too but Andrew, as an agent, the idea of being undercover and assuming a whole new identity in dangerous countries is fascinating, the main question is does it feel like your lying or is it more with how you present ? I've travelled across Asia and other parts though with my name people often confuse me for European or Latino, passing border checkpoints was easy (as an innocent kid - like a junior spy), what I'm saying does your appearance help ? Actually I checked you up on Google and you look just as I imagined .
