My first Xmas with my bf of almost 6 yrs was great. He got me a thoughtful gift that he knew I wanted after him and I went in a shopping trip on day in dec 2010. Ever since then his gifts are sometimes nice and then other xmases they aren't so good. I work hard and always get him things I know he likes. I get things I know he's interested in that year like last xmas he was all into stars wars so I got him stuff like that and things I knew he needed for his house. He always buys thoughtful things for his parents and his daughter that's 12 now. But for me it seems like all my gifts are last minute. Like he ran through Kohl's or wherever and just picked up stuff within an hours time. Last year he got me men's boxers with buddy the elf on them a bracelet (which he knows I don't wear them cause I have little wrists) fleece socks and fleece pj pants and a movie I already had that he got me. Every year I tell him the things I like, my clothing size, things I collect which are the same each year but I never get any of things I tell him about. I even give him the ideas of where to buy them from. My question is, how do tell him that his gifts aren't very thoughtful or he doesn't put any time into my gifts like he does his family? I dint want to hurt his feelings but I sometimes don't want to celebrate xmas with buying gifts with him cause it makes me sad.
