I am a challenger in NA that wishes to go pro, but the 2 tryouts I got didn't go well. I'm conflicted on whether I keep trying or just give up and join the Navy.

This is doubtful, as you get older so do your followers, I don't see myself watching qtpie when I'm like 35 because I just won't prioritize it, also I don't see qt streaming that long into his 20s either, he's probably saving up to invest in something he likes (like a gaming team, new game, something related to gaming?). The kids of next generation aren't guaranteed to be into something like "that old video game league" when they're deep into whatever is big next generation. If league doesn't lose popularity as its followers get older in the next 10 years, then they will have done something that only WoW has been able to do (and even then, WoW has never reached its peak subscriber count which is over 12mil in 2010).

If the next 2 world championships are won by foreign teams (especially asian teams) and not NA, I believe that the interest in league will die out massively here in the states and maybe even EU. Don't quote me on it, but I'm just extrapolating from the large amount of the fan base here that is pretty bummed out about another all asian final.

College educations aren't just for degrees, you build time management skills, networking and relationship skills, CRITICAL thinking and ANALYTICAL skills. These are skills that you live and die by in a professional environment. These are also skills that you arguably don't develop as well playing video games your whole life. I know people will joke about analyzing game play and such and it may be applicable, but it just is not the same.

Gaming is just very cheap and fun entertainment, the reason why the famous streamers get huge numbers is because they provide great entertainment and have great personalities (not toxic, always having a good time, joking around, memeing) for cheap. It's like any other entertainment industry, you gotta have moxie and pizazz. You have to know how to market yourself well to people.
