I am Considering becoming a librarian

Increase your chances of getting a better job by specializing in something that’s not over saturated or be prepared to move or get paid nothing.

I happened to be in a program that lets me walk out with two masters in mlis in archives and a masters of public history degree.

I go to school full time and have three part time jobs that are related to the field but minimum wage. I’m preparing to spend a summer with unpaid volunteer work that’s heavily related to my field and will look amazing on my resume.

Be prepared to make sacrifices and to not get much sleep. I personally am all for doing anything and everything to stay ahead and make myself employable as possible.

If you want it, get it. But don’t ever assume it will be easy or have immediate pay out without sacrifices. If you really want it, it will be worth it. Otherwise IT is a good field and similar field.
