I am dealing with a family that are clearly church bullies and today I have a big conversation with my pastor.

It is hard to judge your position given that there is no context. But some things we as Christians always need to remember.

The important thing to remember in conflicts is this- For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12. The devil likes making believers focus on the natural by starting petty spats, giving Christians assumptions- basically he likes playing tricks so instead of fighting the devil, Christians are fighting each other.

You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother’s eye. Matthew 7:5

If you are being bullied then it is good to have a conversation. Actually it is always good to air out grievances rather than to brood over it and let resentment and gossip build. But you personally also need to be open for God to correct you. You need to be aware of sin in your own life before you can help someone else face their sin.

Colossians 3:13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.

Even more than anyone else could possibly sin against us, the grievance and the hurt we have caused God is infinitely worse. That's why instead of feeling indignant over someone mistreating us, God wants us to be filled with love and forgiveness. When we point out that someone is doing something wrong our aim should be for them to grow as Christians- not for us to he vindicated.
