Mars = instinct & it's in the 7th house. You will be more passionate about relationships than others. Add that to a Libra ASC with Jupiter in the 1st and Pluto conjunct Sun in the 3rd... you are definitely a people person. This does not mean you are self absorbed. You do have Leo planets in the 10th house, so that may contribute to peoples' perceptions of you. You also have Venus conjunct Chiron and opposite Saturn, not to mention several planets in detriment which will lead to diminished self esteem.

In short: I don't think the issue is how you are perceived in society; it's the state of your relationships combined with how you perceive yourself.
