I'm going to play Devil's advocate here:

Are you sure the merchant wasn't the responsible party? I know it's a long shot & I'm not trying to divert or make excuses for this guy, but there are times when a merchants screw things up badly too. I just saw a picture of a eaten pizza from Papa John's that came from the store that way & was delivered to a customer. Could this have been someone's lunch that got mixed up? Could it have been a customer return that got mixed up? All the containers at BWW look pretty much identical. All it would take is one 17 year old to not double check the box they were packing. The other thing is, if this was Super Bowl Sunday, depending on your market BWW was probably packed to the rafters & around 2ish hours behind on their orders.

That being said, I don't know how the interaction went when he handed it off. A lot can be communicated with body language. Did that smirk & laugh have like a subtle "F*ck you" vibe to it?
