Am I doing this right?

I used to co-run a feminist nonprofit aimed at empowering young women. It fell apart because of [shenanigans with the female board of directors] and when I tell people what happened in that company - literally just things I personally experienced - oftentimes women will assume I’m an MRA with an anti-feminist agenda. Just because I happened to experience cartoonishly villain-like things at a single company.

My experience with multiple feminist-identified friends REFUSING to believe things that directly happened to me, and assuming that I had an agenda, led to me leaving a lot of feminist spaces and feeling a lot less safe around people who are gung-ho with the rhetoric.

I still believe in a lot of the goals but there’s a lot of trash ideologues out there.
